
Dr. Mohamed Elsafy is a physician–executive with more than 25 years of experience across U.S. federal biomedical research, global biopharmaceutical development, and academic medicine. He has led clinical and safety programs in oncology, infectious diseases, immunology, neurology, rare diseases, vaccines, and advanced biologics. His work combines frontline clinical practice with high-level safety governance and enterprise risk oversight.

His portfolio included biodefense and emerging infectious disease programs addressing COVID-19, Ebola, Anthrax, pandemic influenza, tuberculosis, malaria, and other priority pathogens.
